We are delighted — and just a little smug — to announce that our upcoming October workshop with Kurogami and Shiawase is already completely sold out.
The seven lucky couples who secured a place for this exclusive weekend (price: DKK 7,500) can look forward to an experience beyond the ordinary. This is the third time Kurogami and Shiawase have visited Rebstudiet, and Kurogami has given us a very clear promise: this time, they will take the level of dirty and naughty to entirely new heights.
‘Spicy’ is normally offered as a two-day workshop, but we have exclusively expanded the format to three full days, including an intimate performance by the couple on one of the evenings.
What will those who did not register miss? ‘Spicy’ is about bringing personal kinks into rope. Instead of focusing solely on technical patterns and knots, rope geekery takes a back seat for a while. We explore fantasy, sensuality and play, using bondage as a direct way to heighten pleasure and intensity.
Each exercise is designed to feel like a real mini-session and encourages creativity and freestyle exploration. The workshop will include:
- Predicaments and chair ties.
- Bamboo ties and the use of alternative materials.
- Bandaging the face and/or hands, demonstrated at different levels of intensity.
- Gags, exploring different types made from materials including rope, fabric and wood.
- Functional ties: how to integrate impact play, wax or sexual play safely into bondage sessions.
So the play can continue at home, each couple will receive a personal Spicy kit to keep, including cotton fabric for gags, coconut rope, clamps, cord and self-adhesive bandage.
All-inclusive luxury and dry-aged meat — For us, a workshop is about more than rope; it is about the whole experience. That is why this weekend is fully inclusive. The participants need to think of nothing except enjoying one another and the teaching.
We have teamed up with a professional chef who will provide high-quality catering throughout: breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on all three days, and an excellent evening meal on Friday and Saturday. The menu includes specially selected dry-aged meat direct from the butcher.
About Kurogami and Shiawase — Andrea Kurogami and Shiawase met in 2014 and became partners in life. In late 2016, they began studying Japanese bondage under Riccardo and Red Sabbath, which changed the way they live with bondage. In 2017, they founded the Kinkyphilia project to share their passion for alternative sexuality and kinbaku. In 2018, Kurogami became a certified instructor with Kinbaku LuXuria, and the couple have performed at events including the prestigious 25th Nawa Naka Kai in Tokyo in 2019. In 2022, Kurogami and his partner Soptik became the only two people officially authorised to teach Riccardo’s style at intermediate level.
